220 V units for large batches
Past roughly 30 lb per batch, a freeze dryer outgrows a 110 V household circuit and needs a 220 V line — the same as an electric range or dryer. If you do not already have one where the machine will live, budget for an electrician. These are the units that need it, with the maker's published circuit requirement for each.
